No more lingering, time to hit the road. Direction a crayfishing town called Cervantes, 300 km from Perth. Home to the Pinnacles, eroded natural limestone structures. The National Park also provided access to secluded beaches with white sand and clear light blue water. A nice holiday destination.

Perth is surrounded by farmland and so is the road to Cervantes. At the end of summer it looks more like a barren desert than farmland. A reminder about how unforgiven this country can be. I expected to see a well populated coastline from Perth to at least Geraldton, but after 100 km north of Perth you are basically in the middle of nowhere. Diesel price goes up, food prices go up, no mobile coverage, etc.
