Coral Bay, a resort town. Its sole reason of existence is tourism. Main attraction is the Ningaloo reef. Hard corals, soft corals, plentiful marine life. Coral bay is famous for the presence of massive whale sharks and manta rays. Swam among very curious red snappers, turtles and sting rays. Sadly enough Coral Bay is also about big holiday business.

Arrival Exmouth. Temperatures are soaring. Locals find it warm. I define it as hot. Hot for the locals are periods of 40+. It's the end of summer and it is supposedly cooling down. The sun stands high at 9 am and it still stands high at 6 pm. These are the regions where senior Australians come to escape the winter in the south. I feel like an austronaut on a harsh planet. Jumping from one airconditionned safehouse to the other. We don't use the tent anymore. We switched to cabins in holiday parcs. The children need to sleep during noon and shade for the tent is hard to find.
